So, the fundraiser ended at an amazing $920! Pretty far from the goal, but no small amount either. I truly appreciate all of the help I received the last 2 months. I can't wait for the next step, and I am pretty excited for the future of Savor The Chill.
Moving on. Recently, a non-vegan friend of mine stated that he would be in full support of the idea of a vegan ice cream truck, if I could produce a decent bacon maple ice cream. How does everyone feel about this? Does anyone have any particular favorite faux bacon? Please share your thoughts. I would love some insight on this.

MCHD Paperwork
I have been working on finishing up all the paperwork for licensing the future ice cream truck. I am attempting to get organized and really pushing myself to realize this idea. I'm not necessarily the most organized person, so this has been a challenge. However, I am glad to find I am still as excited about where this is heading as I was when I first started down this path.
Bring it on Multnomah County Health Department! I will fill out all of your paperwork!
On another note, I have been making sure I make more time to work on the true focus of this whole deal: ice cream. Today has been a day of sifting through recipes that might lend themselves to my pages of crazy flavor ideas. "No Reservations" on Netflix has been a good soundtrack so far.
Tomorrow I buy some pears, coconut milk and a few additional ingredients, and then I experiment.
Oh yeah, don't forget to check out the fundraiser on IndieGoGo!

IndieGoGo Going Strong
Thanks to a few new donations, the campaign is only $5 shy of $300! I would love to hit $500 by the end of the weekend. Fingers crossed.

Flyer
Put together a quick flyer to leave with local businesses. Not my best design job ever, but it works.

Working on a video with a rad guy I went to high school and college with. Hopefully it will help draw in more donations.

An Update For Update's Sake
Haven't had a whole lot of time to work on any ice cream. Paperwork has been keeping me busy. However, this means Savor The Chill is getting close to being fully licensed and insured. I find this incredibly exciting.
I am also working on putting together a fundraiser to buy some equipment and fund some time in a commercial kitchen. The incredible Matt Gauck is finishing up the logo. I can't wait to see the art and move forward with a new face to the company. As a fellow vegan, Matt has been incredibly helpful. It makes me happy to know that I will soon be able to contribute to the vegan community here in Portland.
The fundraiser will have some awesome incentives for donors. I am working with some amazing illustrators to produce some badass merch. There will be die-cut stickers, buttons and/or button sets, t-shirts, or some free vegan doughnuts made by yours truly.
Oh, yeah... I have decided to alter the menu for the truck a bit. I am adding home-made hot chocolate, and fresh brewed coffee. Awesome.
